The university signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Innova Bienestar de México, part of the Secihti (Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation), to collaborate on a semiconductor project that aims to develop a fully Mexican-made RISC-V microprocessor. Two outcomes are expected: the training of highly specialized human talent and the development of technology for innovation.
